Concepts in Peer Reviewed Literature for a Risk-based End States Cleanup Program:
A course prepared for the Department of Energy by The Consortium for Risk Evaluation with Stakeholder Participation II


COURSE OBJECTIVE: This course will present 4 key concepts in risk-based end states cleanup through discussions led by CRESP scientists. Discussion will be based on readings from selected peer reviewed scientific literature in the areas of:

INTENDED AUDIENCE: DOE Headquarter, Site staff and Regulators involved in the Risk-based end state cleanup planning, implementation and communication.This is a basic review course and is geared to a general audience. A technical or scientific backgound is not required in order to productively participate in this course.

COURSE MATERIALS: CRESP Report "A Literature Guide supporting the Planning and Implementation of a Risk-based End State Program" (See full text report) including selected peer reviewed articles (Review list of recommended articles). These selected articles can be requested in full text at no cost for DOE employees. A copyright, postage and handling fee wil be charged to other course participants.
