CRESP III was renewed as a Department of Energy cooperative agreement in the fall of 2006 with Vanderbilt University as the lead organization. CRESP III received an additional 5 year renewal in March 2012 with David S. Kosson as Principal Investigator and Charles W. Powers as co-principal investigator. The management board membership includes a diverse set of skills and interests specific to the issues at hand.

The current organizational components for CRESP III includes:

• CRESP Principal Investigator, David Kosson, responsible for the research and educational activities of CRESP; and
• The CRESP Management Board
